Inside Our 8‑Week Program: How Couples Reset in 56 Days

I get asked this all the time: “What actually happens in your 8‑week program?” Fair question. When you’re tired, tense, and a bit over it, you don’t want slogans, you want a plan and help fast. So here’s the honest, detailed walk‑through of what we’ll do together.
A quick vulnerable share: I built this because I needed it. Years ago, I sat in rooms wishing for a simple way to talk without things blowing up with my then wife, but unfortunately my first marriage didn’t work, and I wish it had. We tried, including counselling, but we didn’t have simple tools to talk without arguing. Today, in my second marriage, I’ve never been happier, we use these tools ourselves. No perfection. Just real practices that make home feel lighter, fun and loving.
What you can expect: the work is structured and human. You’ll feel seen. You’ll get small, doable practices that fit real life. I’ll be kind and I’ll be direct. And you’ll leave each session knowing exactly what to try next.
Week 1–2: Reset & Rebuild the Ground Rules
Week 1 is private and honest. I meet each of you separately to hear the unfiltered version, what’s working, what hurts, what you want more of.
Week 2 is a joint reset where we pick the big rocks and draw new lines around tone, timing, and time‑outs so nobody gets blindsided.
Week 3–4: Decode & De‑escalate
Week 3 is where we decode your styles and values. We map how your differences create both spark and static, and how to stop taking the static personally.
Week 4 is about triggers and tells. You’ll learn to spot escalation early and step out gracefully before you say something you’ll need to walk back for three days.
Weeks 4–5: Respect in Action
We turn good intentions into rules you can actually follow. Example: no serious talks after 10pm; no drive‑by feedback; and if either of you calls a pause, you take it. You’ll practice these in real conversations so they’re there when it counts.
Weeks 6–7: Acceptance without Resentment
We separate preferences from principles and create yours / mine / ours zones for the hot topics money, chores, in‑laws, parenting, intimacy, phones. Ownership gets clear, the nagging drops, and the house gets lighter, fun and loving.
Week 8: Mastery & Maintenance
You’ll install a Weekly ‘Us’ Meeting and a five‑minute Repair Ritual so arguments end without leaving emotional shrapnel all over the house. You’ll leave with simple scripts for the tricky stuff and a scoreboard to keep the small wins visible.
What couples usually notice
The room feels warmer. Fewer eggshells. Faster bounce‑back after disagreements. More laughter in ordinary moments. We don’t promise magic; we install habits, and you watch the love grow back, often stronger, because you start seeing each other differently.
Time & commitment
One session a week (60–75 minutes) plus ten to fifteen minutes of practice most days. We coach online by default, it’s easier to schedule, there’s zero travel time, you’re in your own space (less performance, more honesty), and you can join from different locations if needed.
