Couple Up is modern, coaching-led relationship support for married and committed couples who do not want to stay stuck in the same arguments, patterns or emotional distance.
WHO ARE WE
Led by Simon Middleton, an ICF ACC coach and Gottman-certified relationship coach, Couple Up combines relationship science, communication assessments, coaching tools and practical weekly action.
This is not open-ended talking with no direction.
It is a structured, assessment-led programme designed to help you understand what is not working, change the patterns keeping you stuck and rebuild the relationship you both want.
Is this starting to feel familiar?
-
You keep having the same arguments.
-
One or both of you feel unheard.
-
Communication has become tense, defensive or distant.
-
You feel more like housemates than partners.
-
Small things quickly become big conversations.
-
You want help, but you want something practical, structured and action-focused.
We are built for modern relationships
Modern relationships carry a lot. Work pressure, parenting, digital overload, emotional fatigue, different communication styles, changing expectations and the feeling that there is never enough space to properly talk.
Couple Up is built for couples living in the real world. The work is practical, private and future-focused. We do not just look at what has gone wrong. We look at what needs to change, how each partner communicates and what the relationship needs to become stronger from here.
The goal is not to go back to who you used to be. The goal is to build a better version of the relationship you both want now.

The Couple Up
7-Week Programme
A focused online relationship reset for couples who want practical progress without months of open-ended sessions
Many couples search for marriage counselling or couples counselling because they know something needs to change.
Couple Up offers relationship support through a coaching-led approach. The work is practical, structured and focused on helping you communicate more clearly, understand each other better and rebuild the relationship as a team.
This is not about blame. It is about identifying the patterns keeping you stuck and learning new ways to listen, speak, repair and reconnect.
The programme includes two sessions in week one, individual sessions with each partner, joint couple sessions and weekly actions to practise between sessions.
-
Assessment-led, not guesswork.
-
Practical tools for real life.
-
7 weeks. 8 sessions. Clear Clarity.
We look at how each partner communicates, handles conflict, expresses needs, responds under pressure and repairs after difficult conversations. We also explore values, relationship patterns and what each person wants the relationship to feel like again.
You will work with communication tools, practical exercises, relationship profiling and Gottman-certified frameworks designed to help you listen better, speak more clearly and reconnect as a team.
Meet Simon
Simon Middleton
Founder & CEO
I am Simon Middleton, an ICF ACC coach, Gottman-certified relationship coach and founder of Couple Up.
For years, I worked with leaders, teams and global organisations, helping people communicate better, lead with more self-awareness and create healthier working relationships.
Over time, I noticed many coaching conversations were not just about work. They were about stress, communication, emotional pressure, feeling unseen and trying to hold everything together at home.
I have also lived this personally. I have been divorced, I am now happily remarried, and I know what it feels like to look back and wish I had been given more practical relationship tools earlier.
That is why I created Couple Up: to help couples have the conversations they keep avoiding and rebuild the respect and connection strong relationships need.
Real stories from couples who chose to try again
For couples wondering whether things can still change, this is a place to see what is possible.
Many couples come to Couple Up feeling stuck, distant or unsure how to move forward. Through honest conversations, practical tools and a clearer understanding of their patterns, they begin to rebuild communication, respect and connection.
Why Couple Up feels different
Results-focused
Assessment-led
The focus is practical progress: clearer conversations, stronger respect, better repair and more connection.
We look at how each partner communicates, handles conflict, expresses needs and responds under pressure, so the work is based on your real relationship patterns.
Future-focused
Weekly Tasks
We do not stay stuck in the past. We use what has happened to understand the pattern, then focus on what needs to change from here.
You leave with tools, scripts, exercises and weekly actions to use in real life, not just insight from the session.
Couple Up is not open-ended relationship talk. It is a modern, assessment-led 7-week relationship reset designed to help couples understand what is not working, communicate more clearly and move back towards the relationship they actually want.
Individual and joint support
Gottman-certified frameworks
Each partner has space to be heard individually before we bring the work back into joint sessions.
The programme uses Gottman-certified relationship frameworks alongside coaching tools, communication assessments, values work and practical relationship exercises.
