Online Marriage Counselling for Couples in Australia

Your relationship should feel like a team not a recurring argument.

Couple Up provides structured online marriage counselling support for couples across Australia who want practical tools, clearer communication and a stronger way forward.

The 7-Week Relationship Reset Programme is delivered 100% online and combines individual clarity with joint relationship work.

Relationship support wherever you live in Australia

Finding relationship support that feels right for both partners is not always easy, particularly when you live outside a major city, travel for work or have little time available together.

Because Couple Up is completely online, couples can attend from Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth or a regional location without being restricted to practitioners within driving distance. If one partner is travelling or temporarily elsewhere, both can still join the same conversation.

The process suits married and committed couples who want direction and practical work rather than open-ended conversations with no clear next step.

Could this be what your relationship needs?

  • You keep returning to the same argument without resolving what sits underneath it.

  • One partner pushes for a conversation while the other becomes defensive or withdraws.

  • You feel unheard, emotionally distant or more like housemates than partners.

  • Work, parenting or other responsibilities have pushed the relationship down the priority list.

  • Small disagreements escalate quickly and repair takes longer than it used to.

  • You want practical support before frustration becomes deeper resentment.

A practical, structured alternative

Couple Up is modern, coaching-led relationship support for married and committed couples. It is designed for people who want to understand what is not working, change the patterns keeping them stuck and rebuild the relationship they want now.

The work is future-focused without ignoring what has happened. You will look at how each person communicates, responds under pressure, expresses needs and tries to repair after difficult conversations. The purpose is not to identify the difficult partner. The pattern is the problem, not your partner.

How the seven-week programme works

Individual Clarity

Two sessions in the first week give each partner space to explain their experience, concerns and hopes for the relationship.

Understanding Your Communication Styles

The process explores communication styles, values, emotional needs and the patterns that appear under pressure.

Conflict-pattern mapping

You identify the loop that keeps repeating and learn how each person unintentionally keeps it moving.

Repair and reconnection

You practise clearer requests, better listening and ways to repair before an argument becomes emotional damage.

New relationship habits

Weekly actions help you use the learning at home, where the relationship actually changes.

Growth plan and check-in

You finish with a plan for maintaining progress and a 30-day check-in to support the next stage.

Online sessions for couples in Australia

Sessions are scheduled from Singapore, with times agreed across Australian time zones and subject to availability. Singapore is usually two hours behind Sydney and Melbourne, the same time as Perth, and two hours behind Brisbane; daylight saving changes some differences, so confirm the local appointment time when booking.

  • What couples in Australia  say

“We weren’t in crisis, but things between us had become a bit flat. We were getting through the week rather than properly enjoying life together. The programme helped us have the conversations we’d been putting off without turning everything into a drama. It feels like we’ve found each other again.”

  • What couples in Australia  say

“We’d tried the whole ‘let’s communicate better’ thing plenty of times, but nothing ever really changed. Simon gave us straightforward tools we could actually use when things got tense. We still disagree, of course we do, but now it doesn’t ruin the entire weekend.”

  • What couples in Australia  say

“Doing the sessions online made everything much easier. No battling traffic, organising babysitters or rushing across town after work. We could make a cuppa, sit down and focus properly. The sessions were honest, practical and never felt awkward or overly clinical.”

Why work with Simon?

Simon Middleton is the founder of Couple Up and an ICF ACC coach & Gottman Trained Therapist. He has spent more than 20 years working with people, leaders and global organisations, helping them communicate with greater awareness and create healthier ways of working together.

He also understands relationship change personally. Having experienced divorce and now being happily remarried, Simon created Couple Up to give couples practical tools he wishes had been available earlier, not vague advice, blame or endless conversations with no direction.

His approach combines coaching, communication and relationship assessments, values work, conflict-repair tools and relationship frameworks. It is warm and human, but also structured and focused on action.

There is still hope

You do not have to solve everything before asking for support. Begin with one honest conversation about what is happening and what you want the relationship to become.
